Great shot! Is that a couple of solar flares I see along the left limb of the Sun? Stunning photo!

Yes the detail at 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock on a clock face are both solar flares, the largest flare was at noon on the clock but is not evident in this shot due to my focussing on the transit itself, the dual etalon design enabling such focus flexibility that you can choose what you focus on.

You will note the sunspots that others achieved in their imaging (ie" with Baader film as example) are lesser evident in this shot, as I close this shot as although there is less detail on the surface - ie: sunspots and granulation (and there was stacks of that) I chose this shot as the transit itself was the target here.

PS: Added an additional Baader filtered image I took today as well - just for good measure
