I have finally had a first place in comp at my local camera club here in Colac. Might not sound like much, but the Colac Club is quite competative and usually win the South West Vic interclub and regularly wins interclubs with Geelong clubs, so the standard is pretty high. It won in small prints.
It was done initially at a club workshop night. One member had a kitchen whisk stuffed full of steel wool, then set on fire. A bit of string tied to it a whirled over his head. Took a shot of about 15sec at f16. Then took it into PS and mirror imaged it to get the effect.
