Here's my efforts from Friday night. 2 hours worth of 5 min subs before an icicle formed in the camera - picked the best 1.5 hours for this image.

I was hoping for a lot more exposure time however after reviewing again tonight I'm quite pleased with the result and the number of background galaxies that are starting to appear.

Thanks Marc - I'm now thinking the sky is looking a bit too black so some more processing might be required.

cheers Rick. After reviewing the data tonight I might have discovered a black hole rather than imaging an icicle. Any confirmation images would be greatly appreciated.

Coming together very nicely for an image from suburbia Peter! The two little galaxies nearby are starting to come out. Colours a bit dull perhaps in this early version, but dust really coming out clearly. Good one!

Lovely result Pete, crisp and spacey looking, it's a great size field for M83 too

I agree that it may look even better with a tad more colour saturation?

Thanks for the feedback Dave. It took quite a bit of levels and curves to drag it out of the light pollution. I was thinking more time might help bring out a bit more colour.

I agree Rob. I would really like to see some of those colours that you see in the good images of this. I was thinking more subs but perhaps its a light pollution thing?

yep - nice to see those little galaxies coming through. What you can do from the burbs still amazes me.

Thanks for the comments Mike. The QHY8/10" Newt combination is a nice FOV for quite a few of the brighter objects. I'll have a lok at the saturation.

More time as you say to bring out more colour and to get some colour in the stars would top it off.

Thanks for the comment Greg. I was hoping to get some more time this weekend but family commitments are making that look unlikely now.
