Venus Apr 12 - UV+RGB

I continue to experiment with different methods of capturing and processing Venus. This image is a UV+RGB, so the colour is real only the saturation has been boosted, and the UV provides contrast.

C11 + Orion RGB filters and Custom Scientific U filter + Televue 3x Barlow + DMK21AU04.AS camera.

Each channel is a stack of 3000 out of a total of 4000 frames. AS!2 with around 30 APs.

I tried the U channel at 1/15 s exposure, which gave about 50% histogram, and 1/30 s which gave only 25% histogram. The 1/15s video gave a better stack.

The clouds are doing some interesting things on Venus.

Thanks Andrew, that's the native scale, straight from the camera.

Thanks Luigi, at 15fps I can get a reasonably long stack which lets the detail come out.

Thanks Rob. At this low elevation I'm struggling to get the finer detail I've seen in some Northern Hemisphere images, but the larger banding is certainly coming up a treat.

Thanks Matt, certainly one of the ones I'm happiest with. Out of about a dozen sessions, I've got 4 images so far this elongation that I'm really pleased with.

When you get a few more - show them all together - I do enjoy your Venus!
