Using Ebay,re selling stuff.

Well,I asked about using ebay just over a year ago,and many IIS helped me get started and set up,I did the set up and have bought some good gear, and also stock for selling-everything has gone well.

I have never sold anything on ebay, until this last week, but finally got around to setting up the selling part,I had heard it was difficult, which put me off doing it for a while. But it turned out well to set up.I put my first three bits of shed junk up-and two items went well.So was most pleased.A chap on another forum gave me some good useful information, which may have taken me months to figure out.

There are a few bits of information I need to know, and maybe others I do not know about,so feel free to give me advice. One thing I was not aware of,untill an IIS member pointed it out, when people pay via paypal it does not go into account paypal is connected too,one has to transfer it in -fees apply. No drama-only smallish amounts up to $100,may as well stay in paypal until I purchase something else,if much larger amounts will transfer it over, what are the fees?

Also, when I have sold something, and the buyer has paid,I checked all looks good, but when do the ebay fees come out of transaction?? I thought the automatically came out once paid via paypal.

Anyhow, for my first demo run,I did not hit any stumps, might even be able to clean up around some sheds and make a small amount out of this ebay.If experienced IIS members would like point any other aspects on selling on ebay-be most thankfull.I had the items listed for seven days-feeling ten is better?? or even a two week option (not sure if there is a two week option)

Anyhow thanks for any pointers

cheers Chris

eBay sends you a monthly account of fees Chris - you can set this up to pay automatically from your paypal account, assuming there are funds there.
