I know this is probably old news, but Nebulosity 3 has been released.
Anyone tried it yet?
I'm downloading the OSX version now.

Being able to start two separate instances and image with two cameras as the same time sounds pretty cool. Will have to check how it works in real life though with readout and USB transfer etc...

Thanks for the heads up got my update, this i my 3rd update and the program is really improving in features and quality. I think its greatest feature is its affordability, and relatively very cheap upgrade options. The next best thing is the fantastic support offered by Craig personally.

Can someone explain the two instances open deal. It's for running two cameras at same time right? Would this also allow two guide cameras? And would there be issues during image download, disrupting the activities of the othr camera / guide setup? And would this dual setup push a little netbook too far?

Glad that I read the fine print, I had hoped to run the QHY8 Pro and Nikon D40 simultaneously, but too good to be true (from The Stark):

I honestly don't know, but don't hold your breath. There's still some chance it will get in, but Nikon has made it more difficult than most. To give you an idea, I got a good bit of the way into supporting the D40/D40x. The code was already about 20x as long as supporting something like an SBIG or QSI camera and all it managed to do was to connect and tell the camera to take a basic picture. It didn't even download the picture. I've had to use my limited resources on other things, making this on indefinite hold.

Logan, Nebulosity is for imaging and two instances means you can run two camera. Neb is not for guiding. Craig's PHD does guiding and can talk to Neb. You'd need to check if you can run two instances of PHD.

My netbook copes with PHD and one instance of Neb. I think two would be pushing my luck.
