Talking 97.4% Full Moon

Hi guys check out my first processed pic of the moon from Friday night (still wasnt quite sure what i was doing but i kinda liked it in the end (a little over cooked maybe ) what do ya think any advise would be good thanks for looking

Taken through my 12inch dobbie with a cannon 500D
11 images stacked in registax (i think) didnt do any wavelets etc as i didnt know how too LOL
Then over to photoshop i went not sure what i was doing there either but i like it

That is a really nice image Jen. I compared it to my first attempt from a few months ago. I have a long way to go before getting close to this, or posting any images on IIS. If I could achieve this standard I would be over the moon as well.

thanks Stu i was a little scared to put it up on IIS too but that is how i will learn, all the pics i have done so far have always just been one shot pics so im pretty happy with this one as OMG this registax and photoshop thing just does my head in

Nice Moon Jen, well done It was near perigee so it almost fills the frame exactly on the 500D and 12" Dob.

That's really very good Jen. As a dedicated moon photographer I can say that contrast at near-full moon is a killer to photograph well. You quickly lose all manner of detail. You've done well here to keep a great deal of it! Excellent work.

Fantastic work Jen, woo-hooooooo.

See those little bumps at the edge of the Moon just right of the bottom, and at the right hand side? They are Mountains showing up against the dark sky
