Green Tree Snake

I was walking through the laundry this afternoon, (it's where the back door is) and was startled to see a 4ft tree snake in the laundry tub. !!!
After an initial squeal of shock, I naturally ran to get camera and tripod.
It's not often you get a snake as a captive subject. I used my stock 18-55mm lens for the initial wide angle shot, then swapped over to the Tamron 90mm for some up close action.
He was very cooperative, until the end. He tried to tag me, but that's perfectly understandable, I was shoving the lens quite close to his face, and the flash must have been hurting his eyes.
We shooed him out through the loose fly screen on the laundry window. This is obviously how he got in in the first place.

I was working in fully manual mode, using the built in flash of the 550D.
I did a little sharpening and some smoothing in CS3.

Uploaded a couple more shots.

Thumbs up

Nice J I have quite a few shots of these snakes . When you pick them up they release a pungent odor and puff out there neck scales to show the
blue colour between them and rarely bite .

It was a Queensland Labour snake - certainly not a Liberal.

That is so pretty - the fourth pic is a winner.

Great shots JJJ

Unfortunately down my way a snake in the house means either a Brown or a Tiger.
