Jupiter Feb 15 -- Farewell for this season, big guy.

Took a late-in-the-season look at Jupiter this evening through the C6SE "grab and go". Seeing was not too awful, so I took some video. Monochrome only, DMK21 through a 2x barlow + extender + #25 Wratten Red filter.

There is some interesting turbulence visible following the GRS.

Am thinking maybe I should get a DBK618 for these occasions.

Yeah, the DBK does a great job when time is tight.

Thanks for all the comments, and thanks for looking.

Peter, time was indeed tight. This video was taken between cloud banks while the sky was still light. I also took an orange filter, and un-filtered (but they did not stack very well). Then it was clouded out, so about 12 minutes of observing!

One shot colour would be an advantage on this alt-az mount, as image rotation across separate RGB videos requires extra fiddling during processing.
