Barnard Loop Ha 100mm widefield

This is the other picture I took that wet Saturday night. Again same rig. QHY9, Ha 7nm and SMC Pentax-M 100mm f2:8 at full aperture. Subs were 12x10min, stacked in CCD Stack and processed in PS CS5.

I did a plate solve here and there's big version here.

I like that one because it's got a bit of depth and details. Will try again with a 50mm lens same camera and I should be able to get the whole loop.

Good stuff Marc, you love this Ha B&W stuff huh? When I started in AP back in 82 we mostly did B&W so looking at your work makes me nostalgic ...of course Unless you had a Schmidt camera we generally weren't going as deep with the amateur equipment we used then.

Thanks Mike. Yeah I love Ha but it's an acquired taste. I enjoy colour too but I need to move to dark skies for it. Awaiting the next El Niño.
