observers in perth last night?

can anybody from perth who was observing last night tell me what the conditions were like?
the reason being was that the stars seemed so mushy and out of focus through my scope
the c11 was outside from about 9 til 1am and it just did not improve and i think that should have been loads of time for it to reach ambient

Conditions were awful. Jupiter was worse than swimming, it had drowned

Stability improved somewhat at around 10pm but unsure how permanent that was, as that's when I finished observing.

ah.... thanks for that confirmation roger, so long as there was nothing wrong with my optics!
by the way roger the meade GFT has been a lifesaver....no pier yet ha ha

I was out too, and was not good may have been better than most places in Perth. Have some images I am working with so will have to wait and see how they turned out.

According to the WVEC map at the IIS Resources page, the jetstream would have been above southern WA at the time - never a good time for observing.

Tonight I've been out with my Binoc's and the viewings pretty good. That said I'm a newbie and know absolutely nothing.

I feel like I can see more stars this month than what I could see when I got the binocs for Christmas.

Wind was a major factor for me not setting up my gear.
Also had a look a SkippySky and it showed a lot of High level cloud, poor transparency and bad seeing at least up till past midnight.

Yeah Bart, had a look myself and is worse than yesterday. Still processing images from last night but look bit iffy. Not sure what to expect though.

its funny though because the night in question looked "normal" when i looked up at the sky but through the eyepiece was god-awful!
very new to this but i am going to have to learn how to gauge the seeing a little more accurately i guess
i have seen the "seeing conditions" rated many times and it is just another tool for me to use

Last night seeing conditions were great just the clouds were getting up my nose. The images I made couple of nights ago were quite bad.

Really quite yuk.

I tried to capture Eros last night but not sure how well they came out. Have almost perfect polar alignment now but struggling now with Syncing in the scope the view I want. Just a work in progress.

Other than the scintillation of the stars and visible cloud I think it does come down to looking/photographing through the telescope and seeing what the view/result is like.

My CCD is dead, so nothing at all for me right now! Never mind I just got a couple of spots of rain on me before getting on the train.
