M45 first light

Long time between images with the current run of rotten weather. Here's a first light with my new AT65EDQ (with a big thanks to Flashdrive). Taken with my ST-8300 with 1.25" filters so there is some vignetting that's proving difficult to flat out. 5min LRGB subs, stacked with DSS and processed with Pixinsight and Photoshop.
Full size image here. I think the focus is a bit off (since have motorised this). C&C would be appreciated.

Nice start back Keith, I like M45 displayed in this orientation, reminds me of an angel rising toward heaven.

Thanks Mike. This scope's finally given me the FOV that I'm happy with for some of these larger DSO's and with a flat FOV to boot (which I then spoil with small filters ). New toys are good.

Thanks Ross, you can thank Louie for the colour boost method - it works very well.

Thanks Marc, not quite as wide as your recent images but it's a nice little scope though.

Yes I like the presentation. I did notice it was a little soft but looks like you'll have this under control.

But I do also like the blue nebulosity you've captured there Keith.

Darrin...

I've never attempted M45 but that's a nice shot and it deserves another attempt as it looks a little soft to me but the composition and colour are excellent.

That's a great image Keith!
I quickly put it through ST Wipe's vignetting preset to get rid of the vignetting (attached). Man, I'd be happy to hang that one on my wall!

Thanks Rick. The image page is the standard Astrobin page, you can upload full sized images, it'll do the astrometry and it's the right price.

Thanks Allan, I was wanting to redo the luminance now the focuser is sorted, but there is the slight problem of cloud - lots of it unfortunately.

Thanks Ivo, seems to have cleaned up the corners well. You'll have to show me how that was done. I've a few more that need a similar treatment.

Keith
