The Running Man Nebula

I imaged this last year and planned to add to it this year.

I added another 2 1/2 hours to it.

Planewave CDK17, PL16803, PME.

Wow, that's close in for sure. Do you think you might mosaic it at all Greg to show more of the surrounding dust? Looking good.

What a beautiful object.

Appreciate the subtler processing on this one.

I perceive a sense of depth, and, the soft blue light at the 4 PM position from the Running Man is not something I've seen before, or, paid much attention to. It looks like soft window light. Beautiful!

Exceptional definition and really nice colours. That shot has really demonstrated so much in your setup - really envious.

Mosaic is always possible. Its still low in the sky so there is plenty of time to add to it.

Cheers Louie. I like this scope, it captures a lot and is very user friendly.

Thanks Allan. The CDK is proving to be an excellent scope.

Great colors Greg. I was expecting sharper and more details given the aperture though. Seeing not up to it?

Its still quite low in the sky so that's most likely what you are seeing.
Last year's one was early on as well I think.

I am considering using an SXAOLF unit though to help get more sharpness. Later on.

Inspiring Greg and the colours are magnificant. My first impression though was a little soft but you've explained the cause of this.

Really enjoyed this one!

Thanks Darrin. I would have liked it to be a bit sharper but when things are low in the sky they definitely suffer for it.

I may revisit this one later on.

By the way awesome seeing last night in Sydney.

Greg.

Fair enough. The AO will greatly help with guiding errors but I'm not sure it's fast enough to beat the seeing. Not the SX one anyway. Your guiding looks perfect as it is on that shot.

Good to know Marc. Its hard to get accurate data before the purchase!

Guiding with the PME is very accurate. I think there is also a little bit of tweaking still with a large fresh T-point model left in it as well. Not much but a tad. I could then guide with Protrack going as well which may help yet again. I have The SkyX now as well so perhaps its t-point supermodel may help.

Greg.
