Some things jsut can't be brought on line

Have you ever had to return a purchase

I recently purchase a pair of shoes online now generally I can go in and buy them anywhere locally off the rack "made in china" shoes and they fit

I recently purchased a pair of "made in India" all leather shoes online going by their size charts i purchased exactly the same size as i would have locally yet the shoes just did not fit (to large) and I need to return them for a refund

Surprisingly they didnt have any to fit my size based on the foot measurements I provided to their support team

Although the shoes cost $90 which isn't to bad for all leather I just don't think it's worth the angst buying shoes on line, it seems sizes are never consistent across shoe or manufacturers

I bought a jacket online, very cheap ($35) and it was a great fit. I went back to find some more and they were out of my size. But the prices had dropped a lot more (somewhere around $22 I recall). So I bought two around my size, kept one that fitted well enough and gave the other to the Salvos. I was happy, vendor was happy, Salos were happy!

Sometimes it works out well IF the price is low enough.

(ps these were King Gee branded business jackets!)

Hi,

With shoes, there are several sizing systems used by different countries, and you have to make sure what market the shoes are made for.

http://www.aussiethings.com.au/articles.php?article=13

Even then you can't be absolutely confident online as they might even tell you a fib

I once bought a pair of shoes in a well known shoe store here, and noted they had a sign saying "guaranteed quality" or some such flim flam

I asked "what period are they guaranteed for in normal use?"......dodge, weave, "it depends", etc etc

"Well, if they fell apart after 2 weeks, would you replace them?"...."Oh yes"

"After 3 months?"......"Oh, um, ah, probably"

"After 6 months?"........"Oh no, not then"

"So all your shoes might only last 6 months?".......it was hilarious.

True though, you can wear out a pair of shoes in 6 months easily with hard wear.

Cheers
