C9.25 questions..

Hi there.
Ive been out of the game for a while and im currently looking for a good DSO imaging scope.
Can anyone tell me (and excuse my ignorance) what they think of this scope as a platform.
http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=81625

It looks a nice scope, but im not sure how much work would be involved in getting it up to speed for DSO long's with DSLR. Would it be ST4 compatible for auto guiding?

Cheers, any help would be greatly appreciated.

That scope would be better for planetary really.
Problems with that setup is that it is fork mounted for a start, and quite a long focal length.
You could go the hyper star route with it, but that is added $$

For DSO use and that sort of money, you could go the Carbon Fibre triplets from Andrews as an option, or if you want an SCT, get one on a CGEM or EQ6Pro or similar equatorial mount.
If you are on a budget, a CF ED80 and QHY8 camera or similar and an equatorial mount would get you started.
