Hi all, I evetually being able to process my shot of Centaurus A from the data I collected few months ago. This is not as deep and as detailed as the great and famous image taken by Mike, my total exposure was about half with a slightly smaller scope and with lower imaging scale, however I am quite satisfied with the result since the field of view is quite large and it is possible to see some dust and faint galaxies in the background apart the two lobes extending perpendicular to the dust lane.
Total exposure was 13 hours (LRGB) from Coona. Other details on the page.
I really recommend you to see the full res zoomify version, you can as usual get the image visible full screen clicking the button at the right of the control bar. You can navigate there from the main page or clicking the direct link below: http://astrosurf.com/lorenzi/ccd/ngc5128_LRGB.htm
Man that is just a wild view Marco!
Full res is just mind blowing.. super crisp pin point stars and heaps of dust!
Unbelievable the amount of background galaxies and their interactions.
Not as deep as Mike's, but WOW! Great work Marco. Galactic cirrus is plentiful. I think this is a tough target to convey as its easy to make the dark lane look out of place when going for the halo and fainter structure. You've done very well. More please...
These wide lower res images show a different sort of detail which is as stunning showing the Milkyway dust. Star colour is so deep and the two jets can be seen either side so easily.

Thanks Jase, this is a good "magic" of Pixinsight, their HDR wavelet is amazing for these this kind of objects! I am really enjoying it, I am going to upload shortly a repro of my M31 shot, taken 3 years ago, the difference is impressive..

Thanks John, I wish I could have your imaging scale, your shot of CentA core was superlative

Welcome to the exclusive "whole of Centaurus A" club, has very few members
Dark skies are a blessing though huh?..when I did my version I was at 1000m and under perfect dark skies too
Nice work for an Italian... living in China...imaging from Australia...
