Re position of Comet Gerrad tonight.
Might have left my run a bit late. But took me a while to get guiding issues sorted.
Would like to attempt an image of this object tonight or over weekend,if anyone could supply the RA and DEC,I would be most appreciate that.
Thanks Chris

According to the tables I got this week, tonight it is

RA 18 10 47.2, Dec +19 25 45.1, Mag 9.6, Times about 19.30 on
This is from Sydney

re comet
Thanks all for help.
Had a quick go at the comet, but it gets low in west quick.Had a few hicups
getting camera sorted etc.
Only managed a half dozen subs-only 3 where up to scratch.lost one dark,so only blended the other dark.all 4 minutes each,so only 12 minutes on data.
Hope this might be of interest-Chris

I should add that I am a bit "old school" and have some wonderful atlases. But one needs to learn to change... I am using GOTO this year for the first time after all!

Stellarium is a great free software, and you can pop the comets in easily.

Quite a few thread around on IIS re putting comets into Stellarium.
