The Townsville Astronomy just had a wonderful weekend out at Ravenswood, an old gold mining town 2 hrs SW of us.
We are only a small club, but managed to have about 20 of us (hmmm may be counting a couple of kids there

) and about 12 scopes set up of a night.
Weather was hot 31dg during the day, but cooled down nicely at night, and skies were beautiful and clear.
Lots of targets found, and quite afew images taken.
Probably our last time there as the mine is
expanding and encroaching into the town.
