Pulled out a series of magpies shots, to choose the best one for my blog. I reckon we watched each other for nearly 5 minutes before taking this shot. I enjoy watching the maggies in out area, they are so peaceful. You know you're home in Oz when you hear them warbling in the morning sun.
Now, I need some info from the experts. I know the species is
Cracticus tibicen, but is he from the sub-species
Cracticus tibicen tyrannica or Cracticus tibicen tibicen? Given he's in Victoria, I'm betting on the former, but I know there are some well-versed bird watchers who may be able to tell and confirm for me.
This was with my old 350D, F7.1, 1/400sec, ISO100, and silly me shot this on jpg, not RAW.
