I don't expect to receive the magic email in any year, but this year I'm really not expecting one

Would be a real bonus this time around, given how little time I've spent on photography in the last 18 months, combined with the rapid rise of so many other great photographers in that same time.

Good luck to all!

Got three this year. Two in solar system section and one in the DSO section. I actually entered nearly every section, but happy to pick up some more awards. The talent pool is now getting very large and even getting a HM is pretty good really. I reckon I must be getting close to holding the record for honourable mentions in each consecutive year.

Well done, and too right! HM's particularly in Deep Sky, which always has the most entries, shows a good measure of excellence in anyone's book.

Congratulations Humayun and Paul. Well done. Are these a first for you Paul, as they are for Humayun?

Brilliant fellas - and congrats to all who picked up a gong.

Hey Pete, there are so many better imagers entering the DSO section than me, I would only expect to get a HM. I would say it really is up to you, Mikey, Greg, Marcus or several other great imagers that will win this section. However, one can never decide what David likes. I entered the image below and it did not get a win. To me that was a stand out winner; you just cannot tell with David.

Won't be me. I didn't rate in Deep Sky this year...and frankly didn't enter anything I'd rate as worthy, but... Hoping this one will do OK
