I know what Santa got me!

Rocked up to Bintel today with Santa (the wife , shhhhhh!) and I have a pretty dam good idea what will be under the christmas tree:
- A 15mm Panoptic
- An orange 1.25" filter
- and a compass with white markings and white south pointer!!!

There are two things that I would like to mention about this:
1. It's probably not a good idea to walk into Bintel Melbourne and ask for a Green Laser . Just when I think I'm Australian someone kindly reminds me that I'm actually Steve-Bracksian and I live in Steve-Bracksia. Hi ASIO!

2. Before I changed my chrismas present, I decided to check the eye relief because people have been scaring me lately about the 15mm Panoptic. All I can say is I have no idea where that very bad rumour came from. I put the 15mm Panoptic in the ED80 and stuck my head so far in I got kidney beaning. So much for that I thought. When I pulled back I found it quite comfortable and my blink test* passed easily. So I bought it. Ahhh, Santa bought it.

*If i can see the field stop and blink without my eyelashes touching the glass then there is enough eye relief in my opinion. I could get the 15mm pano to kidney beaning stage and still not touch the glass by blinking so it has heaps of ER.

Can't wait till chrissy. I might even get and compass early. If I'm good I might even get a pocket protector for my IIS pen!

No Chrissy Prezzies for me either. I already got them from the good folk in here who generously gave to me in the last few months!

Don't know what I am getting. Probably a good smack in the mouth for being a lout all year. My "Girlfriend" asked if I needed anything astro related. I said books, but don't think I have that. She has been snooping around my tree trying to guess what her present is. Naturally all questions are answered with No. She is not even close yet. I got her a real surprise.

Stu lucky you know Santa. Wish I did, I would ask for something a little more expensive.

you may not get clear skies Christmas day Steve, we are expecting a change through Christmas eve with possible storms, so no doubt you will get the crumbs off that. Dont know what I am getting, already got a laptop, which was a dual present for the wife and I.
