A couple of years ago now, this is an image of the Glasshouse Mountains taken from just over the coast at 3,500ft.

That's beautiful. Love the layers effect of the mountains as they go further back. I did a
Mt Warning shot similar , but yours has much more depth to it. Love it.

Now that's an angle you don't get to shoot from very often.
Lovely work Tom

High terrain
Hi Tom,
Really nice shot.
It reminds me of every time we come up from the south to land at Maroochydore,
as the aircraft comes up over the ocean, they like to arc around for their approach
for the runway and you get to see a great view of the Glasshouse Mountains in
the distance. But every time the pilot does that and starts to come in low,
I am busy up the back looking down at Mount Coolum, which is only a little over
3km north of the runway and at about 200m above sea level, hoping the whole time
we won't fly into it.

Gorgeous image, Tom. Love the colour, the lighting, the layering from foreground through to sky in deep background! Spectacular!!
I'll be driving past them on Saturday - wish I could see them like this!

Thanks everyone for the ind comments.
Mike, I took this photo from a light aircraft being flown by my Dad. I used a Canon EOS 50D with an 18-200mm lens at 90mm.
The serenity of the shot belies the noisy, bumpy and cramped conditions that existed whislt trying to get the shot.
Cheers,
Tom
