NZ Astrophotography Camp 2006

Hi all,

just a quick note to state that the next (second) New Zealand astrophotography camp will be held in Gisborne (on the east coast of NZ's North Island) from Friday 24th to Monday 27th March 2006. This event is organised to promote the learning of astrophotography from lectures during the day and practical imaging at night. It is held at a small farm 11 kms from Gisborne and provides a nice dark sky. Accommodation is either tents, caravans (you bring), or communal 'bunking' in a large shed or in my house. It costs NZ$15 per night per person - which includes a BBQ tea each night. Submission for talks are also welcome...

For info see:

For images of the farm and maps see:

This event was great fun last year. Overseas visitors are especially welcome. So if you've ever wanted to see the country and scenery where the 'Lord of the Rings' was filmed, come on down...

Cheers

C'mon John. You know us Aussies. We get confused when given too many choices.

Np, I'll delete it.

When I was in Canada a few years back I was introduced to the four way stop sign.
My first thought was "What The!" after a lil explaining it was really quite easy. But
my reply was "If we had these in Oz, there would be alot of fighting going on" lol

Sounds like alot of fun, wish I could come, haven't been back in NZ in over 10 years.

regards,CS

Well that does it. If Paonders and his silly hat, not to mention his Bundaberg, isn't going to be there, nor am I.
Really though, last years was a hoot, and was especially good with some IIS visitors.
JD's place will be better still.
