Yeah got that one too. I like the bit that says 'your CC details might have been compromised too' Apparently a third party is investigating the breach.

Yes. It's a bit like I MIGHT get an image tonight with a forecast of 100% cloud for the next couple of days..

Just keep an eye on your CC account online if you are able and contact your bank if you see anything strange.

It'd be pretty poor form if Sony wasn't encrypting the CC details, though I'm pretty annoyed personally that they don't seem to have encrypted personal details. In this day and age with data on the internet and "cloud" (I hate that term) encryption should be stock standard practice.

</end of rant>

Fortunately the CC I had registered with them has been cancelled last year as I had a breach via an iTune account. The only reason I got recredited was that I had no CC registered with Apple so they wouldn't argue about it. But you're right this CC business on the PS network is a bit of a worry. They're not very forthcoming about what happened exactly and it sounds pretty serious.

PS store back up and running

It's been up and running for a few days now. There's a welcome pack. PS3 + for 30days, some other goodies and 2 PS3 games out of a selection of 5 available for free download.

Got Little Planet and Infamous. Be careful when you choose to click on the welcome back pack icon. It's a one way one trial. Don't back track or the icon won't be there when you go back to it. So if you click on it you need to stay in that section and choose and download your games on the spot or add them to the download list at least.

Yeah I had read there was some funny issues with the welcome back pack so I made sure I selected the two games I wanted (Ratchet & Clank and Dead Nation) and put them in the cart straight away, then I just let them download in the background.

Considering the amount of users trying to log in and grab their freebies, I downloaded the games pretty quickly, they were about 5GB for both.
