Couple of Venus shots 14th Dec.

Taken about 45 mins ago.

6" refractor/toUcam.

Getting better!!
I really like shots of venus when the phase gets like this. In fact it is still one of my favorite things to look at through a scope.

I must say I'd rather photograph it than look @ it to be honest....specially in the rotten seeing those shots above were taken in!

These shots of venus are very good John, I'd be wrapped to take shots like that.
What are the details?

I love this phase of venus, it's amazing that it's so bright and it's only a crescent.

Hi Andrew. Because of the 3/10 seeing, I only shot off about 300 frames @ 10 FPS for each of those 2 photos. Visually picked out the best frames (about 20 odd) & stacked in registax.

Can't actually remember, but I think @ 1/500 sec exposure-0 gain-0 gamma-20% brightness-20% saturation.
