White Throated Treecreeper

Met this very patient White-Throated Treecreeper on this morning's walk. He just kept doing his stuff in spite of our dogs and let me get reasonably close with my 500D and 55-250 zoom.

Thanks gentlemen. They are a gorgeous bird which always lands at the bottom of the tree and works its way up pulling out insects from the bark. But even when they land on our bird bath, they land on the wooden post and climb up it to get to the bath. Very amusing.

Hi Paddy,

Thanks for the image. Amazing camouflage against that tree!

Thanks Gary, Liz and Warren. Warren, this one is a boy - the females are very similar at first glance but have a bit of orange on the cheek and a rufous rump.

A boy that surprises me I am used to the males being the colourful ones
