If you can't shoot DSO's because of the moon....shoot the moon instead.
They made a pretty trio last night, Spica, Saturn and the Moon.

Listening to some appropriate music right now...the "Imperial March" from Star Wars....just have the "Executor" go into orbit and fire a few volleys at the rock pile....blow it into dust

The image scale and general tones are very good, but on my screen, it looks as if maybe a noise reduction or smoothing filter has been applied to aggressively, which is masking some of the finer details and making parts of the image appear too smooth?

Tycho, the larger craters and those in the various Maria look as if they have the potential to show much more detail so the image certainly appears sharp, but the smoothing may be suppressing some nicer details?

Top marks for getting out though, I gave up with the clouds and the cold – yeah I know…I’m a wuss!

I didn't do any noise reduction Dennis. That would be the bad seeing smudging any fine detail out of existence. LOL
I will go through the images though, and do another cull, then restack, see if that makes a difference.

Whoops, thanks JJJ – might need to re-calibrate my monitor or eyes!

I appreciate your feedback on my image. I'm always looking for ways to improve my work, for without it, I would probably keep on repeating the same mistakes.
Yes, I know what you mean about monitors and eyes. They are all different.
