Great Ocean Road/Otway National Park trip March 2011

At the beginning of March, my partner Jason and I set out on a 10 day adventure along The Great Ocean Road and through the Otway National Park. We had an absolutely amazing time and only ended up with a few injuries from our photography shenanigans I have to say this was definitely my favourite holiday. Victoria is such an amazing place, I really didn't want to come home!

Anyway, here are the beginnings of a collection of captures from our trip. I took 43GB of photos and videos so it may take me awhile

But for now, here is what I've got organised so far.

(H, you may notice I nicked your use of the word monoliths from the post a pic thread, hope you don't mind )

Enjoy

Cheers,

Shelley

Shell,

You are so lucky you caught sunset at the Apostles. That is a stunner of an image.

Well done.

Thanks H, I was pretty stoked when I saw this as we were walking down! We hadn't seen the sun once ALL day and for ten minutes out of the whole day, this amazing sunset happened. Couldn't have asked for more

Thanks for your comments H, they are wonderful as usual

Lovely series. I'd love to do the great ocean rd again. Last time I did it was in 2005 and I just had a compact digital.

Great shots. My fave is #1. I really like the sky colors separation in it.

You definitely should Mike! I knew it was going to be good but really had no idea til we got there just how unbelievably beautiful and chilled out it is there. And instead of paying 800 bucks to hire a car for 10 days we paid 600 for a campervan instead! I couldn't believe it! So definitely within the budget

Nah we didn't. It was very touristy and there was a lookout further down that had just as breathtaking views

Campervans are the best. I've done the campervan thing over NZ. It's so easy and cheap and so much freedom.

We plan on doing the campervan thing again at the end of the year, probably going for Tassie. And next year will be New Zealand

Haha, those fallen logs are still there!

You beat me to posting mine.

Well done.

And, yes, how's the thighs after the walk back to the muddy carpark?
