I absolutely agree Phil - you need the laptop out there anyway for guiding. It's a no-brainer. Being inside all toasty with the scope outdoors in winter is fantastic. I've been doing it all long enough not to need to stand with the scope any more to prove that I'm "involved". All I want is data - and the scope can freeze for me.
I too, however, am severely disappointed that the intervalometer still restricts you to 30 sec exposures, and I've let Mike Wong know that in no uncertain terms. It's damned ridiculous that a $30 eBay remote timer will give you that freedom and this won't. I also think that at $60 it's ridiculously priced - when the iPhone Pro version is less than half the price - and apart from the real estate offers the same functionality.
