Kev,
I have an old Parkes-style equatorial. It is as solid as a rock. The previous scope/load it carried was a 12.5 inch f20 Dall-Kirkham weighing 42Kgs and it tracked extremely well - but it was only used as a visual scope for planetary and lunar work. It has a variable speed RA drive. The RA shaft is 1 1/2 inch and the Dec 1 1/4 inch. I'm rebuilding the Dall Kirkham that was on it and I think I'll put it on a G11 or some such when I'm done. (The pier is not included). So this mount will become available any time soon.
Make me an offer.
I'm in SE Qld, area code 4312.
It's a pickup job I think though - either that or a meet half-way or something similar.
Peter.
