Flood

Does anyone know if Armidale, NSW, is experiencing the flood?

Armidale is not subjected to the current flooding.

The images you will likely be seeing on Canadian television news are from much further
north in Queensland, in particular in the towns of Rockhampton and Emerald.

That`s good. Thank you. I don`t mean `that`s good`for the people in Rockhampton and Emerald. From news reports I`ve seen it looks devastating. And added to that is the danger of poisonous snakes and crocodiles in the water. Terrible.

Hi Mozzie,
Thanks. Maybe you could tell me about light pollution in Armidale. I`ve looked on light pollution maps and it looks fairly decent. If I ever visit Australia I will probably be staying there as I have a good friend who lives there now.
I`m a bit of a dark sky fanatic and I`m wondering if observing in the town would suffice or perhaps there is a designated sight around.

hi lynn
armidale isn't to big a city it wouldn't take much of a drive 15minutes out of town and you'd be in some nice dark skies.
