I've used one in a 10" f/5 and don't find them to be a problem at all. It wouldn't be a problem in a 8" f/5.

I wrote a review of the 13mm Nagler here.

Just got home, and took some pics of the Nagler 13mm. I removed the link to the image of an identical eyepiece on the TeleVue website from the thread-starter post and attached a photo of the actual item for sale (best I could do with cheapo digi-cam).

Would this eyepiece be OK for a 10 inchF7.3

The Nagler 13mm would be more than OK in just about any scope, in my humble opinion. My scopes are f6 and f7.5 and this EP is the best performing EP I have used with them. And so it should be at the price I paid for it.

I also tried the Nagler 13mm in other peoples scopes (f5 8-12" Newtonians being the fastest) and it seemed to do equally well in these, but without spending some time using a scope+EP combination I leave judgement on this to more experienced people. As Mike said above, see review on this site, or see reviews on cloudynights.com.

Anyone buying at the price I'm asking will be getting years of Nagler views for free because Naglers hold their resale value well.

you'd get a 1.7mm exit pupil which is quite acceptable

Saw a few things i'd never seen b4 thanks to dave Pretorius (47 Tuc, Uranus-Wow ). i own a 300mm Bintel Dob F5 and would be very interested in the 13mm T6. What state do you live in?

Wecome Dobman. If you look at my post in just about any browser you will see username and avatar top left and "Location: Mount Waverley, VIC" top right just below "Join Date". You have the same thing and yours says you're from Launceston, Tasmania.

You'd get the same exit pupil with any 13mm focal length eyepiece in a given scope, so exit pupil is no reason to choose a Nagler over a bargain basement eyepiece of the same focal length. The Nagler's strength is superb sharpness and contrast across a huge 82 degree field of view, even in fast scopes.

welcome simon (see you soon!!),

This is a very nice ep, i had a look thru my scope with it at star camp. With our dark skies, the nice wide and great contrast views this ep gives you makes it a very god buy.

If i had the money right now to spare, i would be buying it!
