Queanbeyan Flooding

Nearly 100 mm or rain fell last night, which made for quite a spectacle in the New South Wales town of Queanbeyan. A friend called me this morning and told me he had been advised on the radio to stay home and could not go to work as the bridges were cut-off. Why can't I get good excuses like that!?

My mate Paul and I saw the opportunity and raced with the speed of a kid with a Hungry Jacks voucher, to the scene of the carnage.
