F111 Final Fly By

The RAAF put on a spectular show over Ipswich for the final farwell of the F1111s.

Easy way to get rid of them, dump and burn whilst flying in line astern!
Difficult to see the trunks on those white elephants isn't it?

Perhaps they should have crashed them into some Afghanistani caves. (remote control)

OK OK - I was only joking, I was trying to get a reaction from you guys and you ignored me completely!
They're very nice airplanes - end of an era - I always thought the dump and burn was very wasteful though

Yep, it was good to see them one last time. I got a few shots from St Lucia, which I'll post tonight.

Well done on the shots Brendan.

Being the last flyby for the F111, it's a pity they (the RAAF) didn't do a run down the coast say to Richmond via Williamtown, so more people could have witnessed this landmark event.
