Shanes first moons

Just a few photos of the moon in Broome. Taken by my father-in-law shane, laying flat on his back on the beach.

Taken with a Canon 1000D digital slr, with a huge lens on the front (havnt got the details sorry).

As he said just a few happy snaps that came out ok. He knows they need sharpening, what else? and with what programs?

Thanks for looking.

Benno

P.S. How would you attach it to a 10 inch Dob?
cheers

Great start especially for AFocal (Lens on Lens).

If you want to take more detailed images then work with Prime Focus using a EOS adpators to connect the camera body without the lens to the focuser.

You need to be careful a study a little first as the common problems experienced with prime focus with DOB's is not enough focus travel with standard PF setup. I have put a post on this site showing my 450D connected to my DOB which made it work for me.

I will see if I can dig out the post and display it as you have the same brand.

Connection to telescope

Hi Ben,

In regards to attaching your camera to a DOB try :

www.TelescopeAdapters.com

They helped me find what I needed to connect my camera to my telescope !
Of course other more experienced forum members may suggest something more specific, This might just be a starting point

Not a bad effort for laying on a beach
