Horse and Flame Snake Valley

Here is a quick 15 min processing of 12x12min with darks only.
I will probably end up redoing it again properly and spend a bit more time on it but here it is for now.

Cheers Daniel.

Well done, Daniel.

The image has a bit of a magenta cast. See if you can remove that through levels or colour balance adjustment layers.

Glad to see you got some photons.

Nice Daniel, I agree with H, I think you'd bring a lot more out of it, turning the red down a touch!

Looking good grasshopper
To keep Alnitak under control you have to keep the top of the curves down when you do an curves adjustment, this keeps big stars smaller.

Thanks for the input H, Daz and Martin. I have given it a slight tweak.

Cheers Daniel.

As I recall, the three of us - Jen, Daniel and myself - were looking at it at the same time!

I think you have a tad more detail than we could see

Very nice Daniel, a huge field of view with great detail.
Maybe a bit more work on your colour balance or at least background colour.
Another winner. Well done.

Yes that's right Eric, while we were having a nice visual of it through your new beast my camera's were snapping away to get this image, though looking through an eyepeice straight after looking at my laptop screen was a bit of a struggle.

Well done Daniel!
This is not an easy target due to the dynamic range. you kept Alnitak at bay and you have captured some great detail. Take subs as long as your rig will allow for this guy!
