Final Approach

Cloudship coming in for final approach, with the Brindabella's in the background.

Nothing special about the image; I just like the cloud and the shape that it took, and thought it worthy enough of the black and white treatment.

My first landscape shot with the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM. This lens is sharp.

Fantastic composition

Hi H,

What a beauty! The dark cloud hovering like some giant flying saucer is the
most interesting part.

Best regards

Gary

That's one dark cloud! Not wrong about sharpness.

Gary,

Always lovely reading your comments. Thank you!

I saw the shape of the cloud akin a plane coming in to land and knew I just had to grab it. I might post a coloured version of it; I feel the monochrome is a bit more dramatic, though.

Barry,

Thanks! Something a little different.

Marc,

It was quickly approaching nightfall; just on the cusp of that time of day where everything loses contrast. I love the lens, it's amazing.

Allan,

Cheers, mate. I've had to concentrate my efforts on these as I haven't done any astrophotography for months. : (

Frank,

Matey, cheers. Yeah, how depressing, photographing our arch nemesis? : (
