Hi all, long time no see. I'm selling up all my gear, due to the fact that I haven't used it for a long time. I'll put most of it up as a package first, but if it’s not taken soon enough I’ll split things up. (However, I have already separated out my two Televue EP’s and also a spare serial-to-USB cable.).
Let me know via PM if you’re interested in any of the individual items so that if I split it up you will have first dibs. Obviously this would have to be a local (Melbourne) pick-up, or I’d be willing to deliver to somebody within a reasonable distance of my place.
The items in the package are as follows. There's a few photos at the bottom, or go here to see some of the other items in the package:

10” Dobsonian scope
This is not ‘modified’ as such (i.e. no flocking, etc.). It does have the Argo Navis kit attached to the base, as well as a Telrad finder mounting bracket stuck on the tube. It has the usual 8x50mm correct image right angle finder scope and Crayford focuser. The wooden attachments you can see are simply for the Argo navis, to reduce the lateral movement of the scope as it’s tilted up and down.
Argo Navis kit
Comprises of Argo Navis Digital Telescope Computer (handpiece), handpiece bracket, and mounting kit. Kit includes brass mounting brackets, optical encoders (2) and cabling. This is one amazing piece of equipment and will transform your observing sessions as it guides you through a tour of visible sights, or interfaces with software such as AstroPlanner to plan your sessions and get the most out of your night. I might even be able to transfer my AstroPlanner licence to a new owner. It’s just like new.
Philips webcam
I bought this from overseas, for the purpose of planetary imaging. Excellent condition.
Telrad illuminated finder
Can really help with navigating the night sky, although not as necessary once you have an Argo navis
Baader Hyperion 17mm modular EP
This comes with leatherette carry pouch and is in as-new condition. Great wide field views.
Orion Lanthanum 12.5mm EP
Excellent condition.
9mm, 25mm and 40mm Plossl EP’s
The usual EP’s that come with the scope
Televue 1.25” 2x Barlow
Excellent condition
Bintel 1.25” 2x Barlow
Excellent condition
Orion collimating eyepiece
Great for keeping your dob in top viewing condition. Like new
Antares illuminated 12mm EP
Good condition.
Astronomik CLS Filter 1.25"
Excellent condition.
Lumicon Oxygen-III (O-III) Filter 1.25"
For extremely faint nebulae. Excellent condition. Hardly used.
Bintel night vision red LED flashlight
Excellent condition
Large Compartmented carry case
Suitable for EP’s, filters, etc. Even fits the Argo Navis handset.
Small foam-packed carry case
This is unused. I never got around to cutting the foam insert for my EP’s.
Panasonic lead-acid 12v battery with charging cable
Quality battery for your outdoor power needs.
All EP's are 1.25". The package contains other miscellaneous bits and pieces such as lens cleaning equipment (Isopropyl alcohol, cotton buds and balls); cabling, including serial-to-USB for hooking up the Argo Navis to a laptop (e.g. to use with AstroPlanner); moon filter. EP’s come with boxes and/or bolt cases, except perhaps for a couple of the plossls. Other equipment (Argo, Telrad) generally comes in its original packaging, including instructions, etc.
Separately, I would be asking for a total of $1,737. As a package I’m asking
$1,495 delivered (to a nearby location). The Argo setup alone would set you back around $900.
This has all been well cared for and I’d love to see it go to a good home! For someone just starting out, you’d have all the bases covered for some time. PM or post for more information. Thanks.
