Comet Hartley 20/10

Yeah, saw the comet again.
Managed to get a few images of the comet this am after the Moon had set, then the cloud rolled on in again.
Comet is still pretty faint and diffuse, and saw it only in binoculars, it hadnt seemed to have brightened much more since seeing it last week.
Didnt see any meteors either, despite the Orionids peaking in 2 days.
Pics taken with 450D on tripod.

Auriga

Thanks David. Am sure we will have quite a few images coming through as it moves south.

Had a play with another image to highlight some of the treasures in Auriga.

Capella - Alpha Aurigae, mag .08, and is a spectroscopic binary of 2 yellow stars.
M36 - small but bright open cluster of about 60 stars, lying 3900 LY away.
M37 - largest OC in Auriga and consists of about 150 stars and lies 4200 LY away.
M38 - an OC of about 30 stars, at 1500 LY away.
