Two from Ten Chain Hill

Two images from the last outing at 10 Chain Hill.

Both with the W.O FLT110 and Canon 20D(modded). Captured and stacked in Nebulosity. Levels/curves and tweaking in PS3.

NGC 6559: 28 x 5min subs + Darks and Flats

NGC 6188: 17 x 5min subs + Darks and Flats

I was hoping to get more of the red coming through, any suggestions on how to boost it up and ngc 6559 looks a little pink on this monitor is that the way it should be?

I think you do need to tweak the green down a bit in the star clouds, but some nice data in those.

How are you finding the W/O as I remember discussing it with you. Photos look good.

Mark,

I love the scope when used with the dedicated flattener for photography. Images are flat with no noticeable curvature.

I had the use of a Nagler Radians eyepiece, these definitely improve the field curvature when using visually.

You seem to be getting good results with your scope as well

Hi Geoff, nicely done. The dark lanes in both images are well captured. The 6188 has an extra textural quality that is very appealing. My eye seems to want to see more reds in there and perhaps a little shift in the framing to place the colour more to the centre rather than the dark lanes. But it is entirely an "eye of the beholder" situation isn't it?

Thanks Peter, I thought I would see more red as well. The repo seems to have removed the green and boosted the red a bit more

Thanks Trevor, I've re adjusted the color balance and shifted out the green to a more natural brown which has also boosted the red. Does this look better?
