some test shooting - m20 and blowing up M4 with a ray gun

i had a brain explosion and remembered i bought a CLS filter ages ago - so i got it out for the very first time (even unwraped the box) and put it at the end of the hutech field flattener.

M20 was taken on the 127ED with 15 x 10minute shots at iso800. I am very interested in what you think - and not the processing as i have made a hack at it. colour balancing was not quite right

and i also did M4 - but antares was a tad close...... 9 x 10 minutes iso800

they are not great but promising?

Triffid looks smooth, shows up the nebulosity well against the dark sky, great for light polluted imaging

...move the observatory to a dark sky

All up they look pretty ok to me Dave

Improvements..? Hmmm? The Trifid is a bit too base red probably, so maybe up the blue/magentas? M4 looks pretty right, maybe a little more star colour and overall I recon it should be slightly more yellow

Mike
