Jupiter, August 29
Two images from this morning - one from the very start at 10.30pm and one from near the end and 2.20am.
The first image was taken before the seeing had settled, I wanted to get another image of the merging storms in the NEB and so I had to take my chances. The resolution is low because Jupiter was low in the sky.
The second image shows the NEB and some striking storms. If you have a keen eye then you can also see the GRS rising at lower left.
cheers, Bird

Like WOW!!!!!,
Strewth Bird pretty awesome stuff, your early image still has enough resolution to split the two white ovals and your second image is just a jaw dropping result. That is one superb image you have there mate, not sure if I have seen a better image taken from Earth.
Amazing.
Regards
Trevor

Thanks all. The processing on these is still hit and miss for the colours and sharpness... they'll all get re-done when I get home.
With the data from last night I've now passed 2Tb of recorded video so far on this trip...
cheers, Bird

Yep amazing what 2000 miles difference makes. Tempted to get in the car and drive to see you. Bring my scope and gear. In fact that might happen in a week or so. Seeing is king. Let me think on this.

Don't wait too long... it's a long drive... I'm here until the 24th of Sep. There are plenty of empty rooms :-)

Man!! Oh Man!!
This is just sensational, your images are the stuff of legends around a camp fire seriously.
Voyager is at risk of losing it's reputation
Kind Regards
