Manned Space Flight

Ok, dont know if this belongs in this thread but I think it is Amateur Science.

http://www.copenhagensuborbitals.com/index.php

Manned suborbital mission launching in 4 days. I think this is a great leap forward for small manned vehicles into orbits by private companies/organisations. However I also think the individual going up is mad as hell, but good luck and godspeed.

G'Day Mr/Ms Nortilus;

Crazy alright.
Not much Science to discuss in this one, though.

Cheers

It would be fun, but I'd like to know just how safe this vehicle was before I trusted going up in it.

Nah... I 'd take them seriously. The control room looks like it's on a camping table with a sheet on it and they have matching mugs and t-shirts in their online shop. Who cares about re-entry? Just a formality.

Obviously a professional setup

In any case, if the guy has to bail, he'll have his trusty parachute, and if that don't work, well he can rely on a few shrubs underneath where he lands to break his fall

The cosmonaut habitat looks like it's a swedish reconditioned spa with a bubble they nicked from the Maccas playground round the corner. I can hear the kids screaming.

If that's the case, then the passenger better hope that parachute was packed properly and/or there's plenty of shrubs down below!!!

MR Nortilus .
I am not really sure if they thought too much about coming back down as much as going up. I hope they told they person going up that he should prolly say goodbye to his family and friends first.
NAOA - Need another one Astronaut.
