Post Flurry of "Get Rich Quick" Emails

Something that has been coming into my inbox quite a lot recently, is these emails with subject headings like "Earn $25000 per month with...." blah blah....and they go on with whatever they're suppose to entice you with. I just delete them the moment I see them.

Has anyone else been getting a lot of these at all??

For the last ten years or so, yes.

I've also noticed an increase in weirder and weirder SPAM. For example, divorce attorneys.

Also, an increase in "do you have a web site and price list, I'd like to order products from you" type of scam SPAM.

I've had them on and off for that long, but just recently...say the last 5 months or so, they've been appearing very regularly. On my uni a/c, I get a lot of those banking scam emails or ones from the U.N.. They must think most people are stupid. A tidbit of common sense would tell you they're not on the level. Best ones though, are the emails saying you've inherited so much money and such from a "distant relative". Pretty laughable in my case since I know who's who in my family tree. I do genealogy, so I've got a pretty good idea whom I'm related to

I must admit I have been getting quite a few in my Yahoo! account, any headed for my work email get trapped at the front door. I have had Yahoo! threaten to turn off my account, money from the UN, I have won some sort of UK lotto a couple of times, money from the US government, of course yet another family has been killed in an airplane accident in Africa...the list goes on. I just check my account and I have one offering to loan me money for just 2% "for any purpose", funny how they use Yahoo! email accounts for official business

The worrying thing is that there must be some people out there stupid enough to reply...some people should never be given computers!

My sister once got an email to say she had won some money, so she sent them a reply asking if they had got the details wrong as she had never bought a ticket.

Anything you don't recognize just delete, there are so many crimes out there, and if they put all their talents into doing good what a lovely world we would live in.

I had a play with one a few yrs back.

There was a motorcycle advertised on Ebay for sale.
VERY OBVIOUSLY a scam.

Late model bike for AU$5000 INCLUDING shipping from Italy.
I thought I'd play so I set up a seperate hotmail acc & sent emails.

I asked for the address of where the bike is.
I got all the answers under the sun. It's in Italy, Here's how you pay for it. yadda, yadda.

After about 5 consecutive emails asking for the address of the bike, the seller finally asked WHY???
I said that I have a friend living in Italy & I wanted him to visit & check out the bike for me.

Straight away I received an email from "the account owner" saying that a scammer had taken over her Email account AND her Ebay account. Amazingly, both at the same time.
Please disregard any emails of the last 24hrs.

Idiots !!!!!!!!

I consider them all as potential viruses! Unsubscribing from sites that I inavertantly spent too much time in & running malware bytes helps a lot. FACEBOOK is a high offender of such spam, so much so that people tell me to use it all the time :-\

I have inherited US$21.9 Million today alone.
UK Police sent me an email asking me if I am still alive because thay want to give me 900000 pounds. And some guy in the Swiss bank found $16,000,000 that he wants to give me + 2 emails with $2,000,000 I have inherited.

I go one step futher & add their address to my blocked list. Eventually, you'll end up with no blimmin' spammers sending crap.
