A glimpse of Hopetoun Falls in the Great Otway National Park, Victoria.
These are the types of scenes landscape photographers dream about; they take us away from the drudgery of every day life in the concrete jungle.
Locations such as this remind us that there's immense natural beauty on our doorstep just waiting to cleanse us; to take us back to a time of innocence, youth, purity and freedom.
Softly diffused light stifled through fog has aided me in making this image.

A lovely image Humayun. A question if I may. Did you post process to get such an even exposure over the whole image? It looks incredibly flat exposure-wise.
Beautiful shot H, only one problem. No hobbits or elves in the piccie!!!
Mind you, I like Bojan's idea...maybe a Megan Gale, Elle, Danica McKellar (now there's beauty and brains), Morena Baccarin or someone like them in the picture. Argh...damn it, have them all there!!!!
Reminds me of the 007 film 'Moonraker',the scene where Bond is in the Amazon rainforest and the goddess appears from the waterfall.and then the snake tries to eat Bond.
Amazing photo,I imagine Jennette is right,-very still conditions, was the photo taken early in the morning?
Another beautiful and serene shot. Just noticed another quality about your images/posts - aside from the lovely light and scene itself, your titles are perfectly matched.
Cheers, girly! It's not exactly Pandora, but, about as close as I can get!

Jeanette,
It was very still. The light fog was hanging about and it worked in my favour. : D

Glad the emotional message behind the image came through for you. : )

Your comments are so very true, places like this seem to make everything else worth it.
Roger,
Thank you, sir. Yep, agreed with you. The light through the mist has worked wonders here!

I was very lucky in this exposure, I didn't need to blend any other exposures to get it like this. It really was all in the fog and the fleeting moments of sunlight shining through every now and then. I took 3 shots of the scene; one was completely cloudy and so was rather dull, although, could still work; one was far too backlit by the sun; and, the third had a mixture of both. I stuck with that one, and it worked!

Cheers,

Bojan,
lol! Well, I don't think I'd ever get to image the likes of Elle, but, I have a couple of things in the pipeline with some pretty things. Keep an eye out. ; )

Chris,
Sadly, I've not seen that movie. : (
Thanks for the compliment, and, yes, the photo was taken early morning. About 45 minutes after sunrise, I think.
