New observatories showcase opportunity.

Hi all, it's been a while since I last put out the call for all those wonderful home-built observatories out there. There must be a lot of new ones up now.

The page is already quite long and has a lot of great ideas for inspiration. There are some dedicated astro nuts out there!

If you would like your efforts showcased on my "Other Observatories" page, please send me an email to infoatasignobservatorydotcom

Send a nice picture of the outside of your observatory, a short paragraph and a link to your own website if you have one.

Here's the page it will appear on.

Cheers,

Baz.

Well done Baz. This is an excellent resource. Having the owners allow you to post information on their wonderful builds on the one page is a great idea! And very easy to read too C'mon anyone else out there with a backyard setup, get on board with Baz's website!

Nup! Sorry mate, that's just me. Everyone around here knows I don't push it here. I respect your aversions mate, so I won't be offended if you don't visit my site again.

It's been up for years and I have had very few complaints. Just the opposite in fact.

Cheers!

Baz.

Baz, just one constructive comment? According to my screen, the title (which is linked) for each observatory is too close to the image above it. You may need just a tiny bit more gap to separate the individual entries. Did all that make sense?

Thanks Stephen. Looks like I might have to give the whole page a bit of an overhaul to freshen it up.

G'day Brett, if you don't want to put your obs up because I express my views on my own site, that's of course up to you mate. Respect.

If it's any comfort, you may notice that the page itself has no religious content, just some other parts of my site.

I have tried to keep the practical and the other separate and it would be a shame if folks didn't share their wonderful efforts in the spirit of helping other budding astronomers, just because I believe in God. There are plenty of secular people's obs' on there already, just as I share my practical ideas on this site where religion is a no-no.

No worries though, have a good one.

Baz.

nooo Baz, It looks terrific Just the spacing that's all. Apart from that, it is simple, effective and easy to read and navigate around. Very uncluttered.

It a great resource Baz, you've done well.

Once my Obs gets off the drawing table I'll most definitely be adding it as well.

Cheers

Hey Baz, once we finish building our Club Obs will it be OK on your Obs page or do they have to be privately owned and built?
We won't be offended if it is for private obs only.
