Nocturno

Hi All,

This shows the crescent moon and a splash of water on a rock called Geyser rock. As the water hits a crack in front of the rock it exits thru a hole at the top creating a geyser-like effect.
The water splash was light painted with a flashlight.
Exposure for the moon didn't allow many stars to be recorded I could've taken another exposure for the stars but I liked the minimalism in the shot.

Taken at Miramar, a coastal city of Argentina. With a Canon 5DII.

You may see a better version on a black background visiting the following link to my website and clicking on the photo:

Thanks for the feedback!
Luis

Nice foreground, but why is there a black square around the crescent moon? It looks added-in and fake. Not saying it is, but it looks that way.

I did take two exposures one for the moon and one for the Rocks. The moon was there, I didn't move it but I guess the background wasn't exactly equal. Should be better now, thanks for your help!

I would have cropped a bit more - but it is technically interesting.
I like it. Ian

Very nice Luis, I like the use of light and darkness in this shot, it has a great effect on the rock.

Cheers
