Thanks Rob. At least an IceInSpace person was able to report! NASA failed in that regard, and JAXA had no audio feed, and no real indication of what was going on.

no prob guys it was pretty bright you couldnt miss it here,lots of bright fireworks behind it as it reentered at a nearish horizontal arc across the nw sky ,,,pretty impessive i must say lasted oh..15 secs maybe

A friend just north of Pt Augusta reported seeing it. Close to the horizon but quite bright.

guess you were too far way to hear any sonic booms?, would of been big delay for you there, maybe many minutes later, and faint if at all

Yes have just seen it come in,(I'm in Yulara,NT) very very bright and quick. Landing is not a term I would use! Exciting.

Saw it from the beach just below Mars, for about 2 secs and then it hit the cloudbank.  Came in really fast.
