Welcome back Davo, we've missed you.

Nice images dude.
What did you use for the sun images?

Mars and Saturn are good.
Do you have NEAT IMAGE? I think it can help remove some noise from the images.

Keep up the good work.

Coronado PST.
It was on an undriven eq mount, with a long cable to a laptop inside the building so that the laptop screen can be seen.

The second Sun pic is definately the best

Nice pics Dave, got your first colar images, Mars images are pretty good also. I think you had Saturn out of focus though. There is a small donut on the planet. Keep em coming.

yes, it definately is, it was late at night, i was wrapped with mars and then i thought i would have a quick go at saturn.

I was also exhausted from the constant running over to bird's scope as he let out hollas of joy every 7 or 8 minutes!!

I'm so glad you guys had a great time. We were worried the weather would ruin it for you.

Wish I was there to meet you guys.

Hi.

She came up not too bad in the end Dave. Ended up cutting the bad frames out manually seeing there wasn't that many (cant remember how many frames now) I ended up stacking/processing all damn night on 7 AVIs I took.) Still in process & will post them soon.

Rumples, I'm having trouble with that damn bayer cross-hatch problem when resampling. Any advise? Cheers all.

I think your scope was out of collimation when you took that AVI perhaps Dave?

Heres some of mine I shot last night with the kodak & a CCD camera I have on loan..(still trying to get the hang of the ccd)

Two problems I have is image scale with the kodak, due to me now having to 'shoot between' 2 bits of stuff/dust/gunk on the sensor, & the colour in these pics....they ended up this colour because I was aiming at showing the surface details as best I could.

Probably my best mars pics yet I reckon! Pity about the image scale though, most annoying. (the last pic is from the CCD)

I declined on rotating them because somehow they turned to visual mush, not sure why.

i reckon it is just the lack of being able to get at the exposure and gain settings on your ccd. the detail is there, but hard to squeeze out!!!

i hope your new toy arrives soon!!!!!! then look out!!!!

BTW Dave, that mars stack I did for U is straight outa registax, no proccessing in any other program....You could improve on that image I'd say!!

Yeah, camera settings on this CCD I have consists of contrast/brightness/colour & that's it. No gain or anything like that. Took me 15 mins to get it looking ok on the laptop screen, but still coughed up that less than average shot above.
