G'day all,
Very happy that this Saturday my first ever photography exhibition kicks off
It's taken a lot of work over the last 2 months to put it together (and that's and under
exaggeration!) but I think it's coming together well. I had no idea how much work (and money) it would take ot put a photography exhibition together. Quite an experience. Especially doing media interviews for the newspapers, yikes!
It's of astrophotography, but includes some element of landscape photography, with twilight scenes,
silhouettes, etc. It has two parts, an area of large (1m, 1.2m, etc) canvas prints and large framed prints, plus an area of about 6 square metres of 200 NGC photographs
If you're in WA, I think it'd be worth checking it out
I remember going to see the exhibition of the David Malin awards a couple of years back and loved it. Very
inspiring. Unfortunately I missed Ray Palmer's exhibition earlier this year, the only other exhibition I know of astrophotography in WA. It's not often astrophotography exhibitions come around. I'm hoping mine will be of just as much interest to us keen astronomers and to non-astronomers alike

If you're a better photographer than I you can go to make yourself feel good, if you're photographs are not as good as mine, you can go to be inspired
It's at the Gravity Discovery Centre's "Cosmos Gallery" from 5th June - 31st July

Being inside the GDC entry fees apply.
Full Details here.
I'm going to be there on Sunday 6th June from about 11ish-1ish if you want to drop by and say hi
Roger.
